What clients say

“Nici is a thoughtful and affirming trainer that motivates with joy and humour. He is an antidote to the toxic cultures that pervade fitness spaces. I am never bored in Nici‘s sessions and I am consistently learning and challenging myself. Most importantly, they always takes both my mental and physical health seriously when planning our sessions.“

— Former 1:1 Client A.

“Nici's session on safe spaces in fitness was highly valuable. An open and thoughtful environment made it easy to engage with the topic and reflect on its importance within the community.

What stood out most was how the concept of safe spaces was connected to the real experiences of members, especially within the context of FLINTA and queer-specific classes.

The session offered valuable insight into why these formats exist, how they've evolved, and the meaningful role they play in building a more inclusive and supportive training environment.

Overall, it was an engaging and insightful session that encouraged reflection and a broader understanding of the topic.

— A., about my workshop at Beat81 on Safer Spaces in Fitness

“As someone who has never felt comfortable weight training in spaces where cis men were the majority, I've come to rely on FLINTA and Queer classes as a safe place where I can ask questions, try new things, and generally challenge myself. Having teammates and a coach from my own communities who are supportive and who I feel comfortable getting sweaty around, it completely changes the experience -- it's literally made me better, faster, stronger.”

Hi, I’m coach nici (they/he)

A person with very short blonde hair and multiple necklaces, wearing a black T-shirt, sitting on a wooden box in a gym with weightlifting equipment in the background.

— a trans masc trainer, sports sociologist, and co-founder of Safer Sex Berlin. I hold a Master of Education in Sport Science from the University of Hannover, where I also worked in sports sociology, researching the politics of the body, gender and identity in sport.

Today, I bring that academic foundation into real-life practice: I’ve been working as a personal trainer and group fitness coach in Berlin since 2023, currently coaching at Sha-La, BEAT81, Lifted, and EDEN Private Gym. I also lead a small group, gender-affirming training session for TIN* folks, creating safer entry points into fitness for beginners, trans masc and non-binary folks, and anyone who’s felt excluded from traditional gym culture.

Beyond the gym, I work as a freelance designer and facilitator in queer education and accessibility — always driven by the same goal: helping people feel better, more seen, and more connected to their bodies and communities. Whether through coaching, education, or creative work, I’m here to make training a space of joy, transformation, and unapologetic queerness.
